The Bakery Specialties business unit serves the needs of the baking industry, delivering leading-edge, technology-based, yeast, enzyme and specialty ingredient products. Anchor Bio-technologies business unit specializes in the supply of value-added natural yeast solutions to some of the world’s leading industries. “Bio-solutions” are offered to niche markets like the wine, whisky, commercial brewing and bio-control industries. This business unit also boasts an array of world firsts, which include the use of dried whisky yeast, the production of a test kit for managing nitrogen requirements of yeast strains during wine fermentation, and the launch of the first successful bio-control agent used in the control of post-harvest diseases in apples and pears.
