MICRO-CELL®

Application

The MICRO-CELL® microbial feed additives are bacteria for use in ruminant feeds. The three products, that make up the MICRO-CELL® range, contain proprietary strains of Lactobacillus acidiophilus, Propionibacterium freudenreichii and Lactobacillus Buchnerii . The products are fed as part of a microbial phase feeding program in beef feed lot applications. The program consists of starting cattle on MICRO-CELL® LA for the first 28-30 days. During this period, animals are being adjusted from a low energy ration (high roughage/low concentrate) to a high energy finishing ration (low roughage/high concentrate). MICRO-CELL® LA helps start cattle on feed more smoothly while reducing morbidity and mortality, while improving feed efficiency and daily weight gain. The program then changes to feeding the lactate utilizing products, MICRO-CELL® PB or MICRO-CELL® LB to finish. The MICRO-CELL® phase feeding program ensures the correct strain is being fed at the correct time, to improve feed efficiency and daily weight gain.

Scientifically proven:

The three strains of bacteria used in the MICRO-CELL® product range, have been selected based on University trials documenting their specific function in the rumen or post rumen environment. - A well documented mode of action which has been demonstrated in in vivo and in vitro studies.

  Microcell® is considered as GRAS by the US FDA and complies with the AAFCO requirements for active dry yeasts.

  Microcell ®LA is registered for use in Canada.
